Counseling and Facilitating
- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy in private group practice focusing on substance abuse, addictive behaviors, and recovery; clinic and private practice includes adults and adolescents with depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, adjustment disorders, career and life transitions
- Conducted individual and group psychotherapy at addictions treatment program, ran weekly team meetings, served as manager on duty
- Co-led short-term therapy groups for adult women survivors of child sexual abuse
- Conducted individual, group, and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults at outpatient hospital clinic and inpatient psychosomatic unit
Supervising and Advising
- Supervised master’s-level clinicians at addictions treatment program
- Supervised graduate students from Simmons College School of Social Work and Boston University School of Social Work
- Advised 46 students and served as faculty liaison for training sites as program coordinator for satellite program at Boston College School of Social Work

Teaching and Community Service
- Facilitate workshops for elementary school children as volunteer prevention specialist with Newton-Needham Child Assault Prevention Program (current)
- Lectured on adolescent diary writing in mental health and educational settings; presented original research at 1985 international psychiatric conference (Paris, France)
- Conducted workshops and in-service training sessions on group work with sexual abuse survivors at Boston-area mental health settings, including Brookline Mental Health Center and Arbour Hospital
- Researched and published scholarly article entitled “The Diary as a Transitional Object in Female Adolescent Development,” Adolescent Psychiatry, vol. 11, 1983
